SRL ensures the accuracy of its testing by participating in external proficiency testing programs, where our performance is assessed independently and compared with other laboratories.
Our goal at Sonic Reference Laboratory is to ensure that we not only meet but exceed the expectations of our customers. Our dedicated team of customer service representatives provide daily feedback regarding specimen ordering, or potential turnaround time issues. Specimen rejection and exception information is trended and reviewed on a monthly basis in order to identify opportunities for improvement.
Sonic Reference Laboratory measures and monitors over 50 different metrics from the pre-analytical, analytical and post analytical phases of testing. We rely on data to manage all aspects of the laboratory, to help drive quality and make key decisions that affect patient testing. Data sets are not only monitored in real time by the Technical Directors and Medical Director of the laboratory in order to ensure decisions are made proactively, but are also reviewed on a monthly and quarterly basis in accordance with our commitment to continuous improvement.
