Sonic Reference Laboratory is a CLIA certified and CAP accredited state-of-the-art esoteric laboratory specializing in Analytical Chemistry, Molecular, Hematology, Immunology and Clinical Chemistry testing.
Featured Testing
BRCA
Sonic Reference Laboratory is proud to offer BRCA testing utilizing Next Generation Sequencing Technology with a validated 99.98% sensitivity and 99.98% specificity. Testing for mutation in BRCA1 and BRCA2 is recommended when a person's individual or family history suggest the possible presence of a harmful mutation.
Lipoprint
Lipoprotein Subfractions Testing System is the only FDA-cleared diagnostic test that analyzes all lipoprotein fractions and subfractions in fasting serum or plasma. It also is the only method that identifies and measures cholesterol of all atherogenic and non-atherogenic LDL and HDL subfractions.
Respiratory Pathogen Panel
The RPP test offered by Sonic Reference Laboratory is intended for the detection and identification of viral and bacterial agents in nasopharyngeal swabs collected from symptomatic adults and pediatric patients suspected of respiratory tract infections.
Zika
Sonic Reference Laboratory offers Zika virus testing on serum or paired urine/serum samples using the U.S. RealStar® Zika Virus RT-PCR Kit from altona Diagnostics which has been authorized by the FDA under Emergency Use Authorization (EUA).
FibroACT
A non-invasive serum test to differentiate hepatic cirrhosis from non-cirrhosis in individuals with HCV infections or other chronic liver diseases. Quantitative results for six serum biochemical markers are matched with a patient's age and gender to algorithmically generate liver fibrosis and necroinflammatory activity scores.
Prenatal Screening

Genetic prenatal carrier screening allows health care providers the ability to offer tests that are currently recommended by the American College of Medical Genetics and Genomics (ACOG) and the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologist (ACMG).

Toxicology
Drug confirmation testing performed by Sonic Reference Laboratory measures metabolites (breakdown products) in urine from 11 drug classes. Testing is performed by Liquid Chromatography-Tandem Mass Spectrometry (LC-MS/MS) utilizing commercially prepared reference standards
